What we do

Six jobs, and the one people call about at midnight.

That one is water in a finished basement, and the honest first answer is usually not a sump pump. Most wet basements out here are a grading problem or a downspout dumping four feet from the wall, and both are cheap. We will tell you that on the phone before anybody sells you drain tile, because a shop that lives in the same county cannot afford to do it the other way.

Exterior foundation drains

The wall gets dug to the footing, cleaned, coated and covered with dimple board, then a perforated line in washed rock daylighted or run to a pit. This is the repair that actually keeps water out of the block, and it is the one the franchise crews will not sell you.

For a finished wall, a zero lot line, or a wall you cannot reach with a machine. Floor cut back, tile bedded in rock, basin set, pump on its own circuit with a check valve and a real discharge, not a hose out a window.

There is no charge for an estimate and no charge to come look at a wet basement, including the ones where the answer is that you need a gutter guy and not us. Waterproofing is quoted by the foot after somebody stands in the basement, because the price depends on what the wall is made of and how far the water has to go once we catch it. Dirt work is quoted by the job off the stakes. Prices here are illustrative for this preview.

Twenty four years in the same three counties.

Owner name goes here started waterproofing basements in 2002 and bought the first excavator two years later because he was tired of hiring one. The two halves of the business have run together ever since. It is a small crew, the machines are owned and not rented, and the person who quotes the job is on the job.

Basement water is a franchise business now. Somebody with a national ad budget and a call center will be at your house in a day, sell you an interior system on every wall, and be gone. We live here, our name is on the truck, and we are going to see you at the co-op. That is the whole pitch, and until now there was no place to make it.
